Our Story
CoachesClubhouse was founded in 2021 as ULEARNBLY by Elite Coach Educator and experienced Sporting Director Gérard Jones, who saw the potential of digital coaching education and learning to be better. ULEARNBLY.com (now the CoachesClubhouse) was created to become the world's No1. Destination for coaching education, providing a world-class digital learning platform for sports coaches that is easily accessible, affordable and attainable! All content is designed by our Founder Gérard Jones alongside other industry leading experts, leading UEFA & US Soccer Coach Educators and Skills Acquisition Researchers.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Gérard Jones, is a UEFA A & Advanced Youth Licensed Coach & Elite Coach Educator, with two decades experience in both professional & grassroots game globally. UEFA & USSF Coach Educator, former Head of Coaching, U21 Assistant & Academy Coach in pro soccer in England. Current Director of Coaching for MLS Sporting KC

Gérard has a significant background in creating game models at both club and national team levels, along with extensive experience in coaching methodology, and a deep understanding of skill acquisition from an ecological dynamics, constraints-led approach. He has mentored and trained coaches for four of the six continental bodies
of football governance (eg. CAF, CONCACAF, AFC & UEFA) across the Pro Licence, A Licence, B Licence, C Licence, D Licence etc courses

Since 2006, he has coached players across all formats and levels, as a former Halifax Town youth player, he has coached in the UK, USA and Morocco, as a youth coach, district rep coach, high-school and college coach, semi-pro head coach, running advanced development centers, as a DOC in the UK for Arsenal Soccer Schools and at various youth clubs throughout the US.
Most recently, Gérard has worked as a Head of Coaching at EFL Bristol Rovers FC, U21 Assistant at Bradford, and Academy Coach at Rochdale AFC within the EPPP, and through his role as an Elite Coach Educator with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, he assisted coaching the Moroccan Youth National Teams at U15, U17, U20

Gérard has served as a Director of Coaching, Sporting City North at MLS Sporting Kansas City where he established a brand-new youth academy affiliate from zero to around 700 players aged from U8-U19 with teams competing in various local, regional and national competitions which including USYS Midwest Conference National League, Girls Academy, Elite 64 and other platforms, managing around 25 part-time coaches and full-time assistant DOC and Girls Director

Complimenting exceptional on field experience, knowledge and skills, Gérard has been trained by some of the best mentors and educational institutions in the world. He has worked with Osian Roberts, world-reknowned Technical Director and Educator. He holds a Master of Science degree in Performance Coaching from Stirling University, top 5 university for sports science research in the UK and Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence. He is a Qualified Teacher with a PGCE in Lifelong Learning from Huddersfield University, No 1 teaching university in the UK for teacher education, and has also studied a MSD in Sports Directorship at MMU Business School, part of an elite group of schools worldwide that holds the international benchmark of excellence - Triple Crown Accreditation (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA), whilst being ranked in the World University Top 50 Business Schools.
Gérard is currently studying a PhD in Skill Acquisition from the leading university and mentor in ecological dynamics and motor learning, Sheffield Hallam University under the direction of Prof Keith Davids, investigating practice decision, attentional search (scanning) and decision making globally.
